Projít se po indiánských ruinách mělo podobu snu, který člověk prožívá velmi živě, ale stále mu připadá, že něco tak úžasného snad ani nemůže být pravda. Na ruinách La Quemada ve státě Zacatecas se dochovalo mnoho staveb, některé z nich velmi významné, například Sloupový salon, který je vidět na první fotce, byl jednou z největších staveb v Mexiku. Sloupy, před kterými jsem zachytila Zitu s Martinou, podpíraly těžký strop. Našly se zde i lidské kosti, což ukazuje na lidské oběti. Rozkvět zažívalo město v letech 800 až 1200 n.l. Nejvíce zde žilo asi 3000 lidí. Je možné, že zde bydleli Aztékové, ale vše jsou pouze dohady. Město bylo dobře propojeno "dálnicí" z kamenů s dalšími centry. Je to úžasný pocit vylézt až na nejvyšší místa opevnění a dívat se do polopouště, nechat na sebe působit obrovský otevřený prostor a cítit se svobodně. Mrkněte na video, protože na fotkách je prostor prostě nezachytitelný...
Walking through indian ruins feels like a dream that, even though very vivid, does not seem to be real... The ruins La Quemada in Zacatecas state contain many buildings that are rather significant, like the Saloon of Columns, which you can see on the first picture. It was one of the biggest saloons built by indians in Mexico. The columns in front of which you can see Zita and Martina were built to support a heavy cealing. Human bones were find there which means that human sacrifice took place there. The "boom" of the city was around 800-1200 A.C. when it had population of 3000. It is possible that Aztecas used to occupy the city but that is only an assumption. The city was well connected with other municipalities by a "highway" made of stones. It is a wonderful feeling climb up the highest peak and look into the half desert and let the huge open space make you feel free.
